OUR STORY
The Destiny Program did not begin as a large organization.
It began with an idea, personal investment, volunteer time, and a belief that our community deserved access to fitness and wellness opportunities.
Intertribal Fitness grew from that investment into a community space where youth and adults could train, move, learn, and support one another.
As community needs became clearer, The Destiny Program expanded into youth sports, nutrition education, family health, chronic disease prevention, school partnerships, and broader community wellness initiatives.
Today, we continue to grow through partnerships, grants, volunteers, community support, and the people who continue to walk through our doors.
We are still grassroots.
We are still community built.
And we are still here to create opportunities.
ABOUT US
Community Built. Community Driven.
The Destiny Program Corporation was founded in 2015 by Native fitness professionals who saw a need for more accessible fitness, nutrition, and wellness opportunities within the Wind River Indian Reservation community.
What began through personal investment, volunteer time, and a commitment to creating a place for people to move has grown into a nonprofit organization supporting youth, adults, families, schools, and community partners.
Our Mission
The Destiny Program Corporation provides accessible fitness, nutrition, youth development, chronic disease prevention, and community wellness opportunities for people living on and near the Wind River Indian Reservation.
We work to remove barriers, strengthen local capacity, and create programs that support active, healthy lives across generations.
Our Approach
We believe wellness is bigger than one workout, one nutrition class, or one program.
Health is connected to movement, food, family, community, culture, opportunity, and access.
Our programs are built around those connections and shaped by the needs and strengths of the community we serve.
