Building Strength. Creating Access. Supporting Community Wellness.
The Destiny Program Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the Wind River Indian Reservation through fitness, youth development, nutrition education, chronic disease prevention, and community wellness.
We believe people should have opportunities to be active, learn, grow, and take care of their health without cost being the barrier.
Through Intertribal Fitness, youth sports, family programs, nutrition education, chronic disease prevention, and community partnerships, we create opportunities for healthier lives across generations.
WHAT WE DO
Community-Driven Fitness, Nutrition, and Wellness
Fitness and Physical Activity
We create opportunities for youth and adults to move, build strength, improve fitness, and develop lifelong physical activity habits.
Programming includes coached fitness, strength and conditioning, group activities, youth fitness, community events, running, and sports.
Nutrition and Food Education
We provide hands-on nutrition education focused on practical skills families can use in everyday life.
Programming may include cooking, food demonstrations, meal preparation, nutrition education, Indigenous foods, traditional food knowledge, and chronic disease prevention.
Youth Development and Sports
Youth need places to move, play, compete, learn, and belong.
Our youth programming creates low-cost and no-cost opportunities for children to develop movement skills, confidence, teamwork, strength, and healthy habits.
Chronic Disease Prevention
We support evidence-based and community-based health education related to diabetes prevention, blood pressure, nutrition, physical activity, and other chronic disease risk factors.
Programs are offered based on community need, available partnerships, and funding.
Community Partnerships
We work with schools, Tribal programs, health organizations, nonprofits, funders, and other community partners to expand access to health and wellness opportunities.
Partnership allows us to bring programming into places where people already live, learn, work, and gather.

Testimonials
“My name is Thomas E. White Buffalo. Located in Riverton, Wyoming. I am to date 35 years old. Enrolled in the Northern Arapahoe tribe and contain Kiowa, Cheyenne and Pima blood from my dad's side of the family.
I joined this Intertribal Fitness roughly 5 years ago. Not knowing what to expect yet I trusted my coaches with my being. I am beyond thankful for how patient they have been with me in showing me how to physically take care of myself through the art of CrossFit.
From first walking in at almost 350 pounds. Out of shape, avid smoker and a diet that would disappoint many.
Today, happily replacing unwanted pounds with beautiful muscle mass. Currently sitting at 271. Quit tobacco. Participating in 5k's. CF competitions. Ultimately being as active as possible. Counting carbs. Fighting the desire for what the old me wants to indulge in.
I really enjoy what The Destiny Program; Mike Ute and Denyse Bergie have done for the community. I've honestly never met most of the people that frequent Intertribal Fitness but am pleased to know they're after a healthier life such as myself. It's quite motivating to see the look on their faces when they achieve something they might have thought was impossible. In the end, we're all in this together and I will continue to assist in strengthening their message.” - Tom WhiteBuffalo
“Intertribal Fitness has changed my life for the better. For most of my life I was overweight, with my heaviest weight being 310. I knew I needed to do something about my health. I hated to run because my body hurt, it was hard to sleep at night, and I was on the verge of being a diabetic. I joined Intertribal Fitness and started to go faithfully. I started to notice the small things at first like: being able to run longer, sleeping better at night, I was more flexible, and I was getting stronger. Now, I am 185 and healthier than I’ve ever been in my life. I can run long distances without problems, I can finally do box jumps, and I sleep like a baby at night. I can’t thank Denyse and Mike enough for all that they do. I couldn’t have been able to do it without them.” - Alyssa Noseep
